Description
Taiwan Politician Resumes is a curated dataset extracted from the Taiwan Politics Database.
The dataset constructs resumes from all Candidate, Legislative Leadership, and Party Leadership records. This was made possible by constructing a master list of Officials from the politicians included in these three databases and disambiguating matches in pair-wise combinations of tables, namely Candidates with Party Leaders and Candidates with Legislative Leaders.
Combining these three datasets makes it possible to examine:
- party and legislative leadership roles of candidates
- electoral experience of party and legislative leaders
- cross-over between party and legislative leadership
Future additions to the Taiwan Politics Database will be added to the Resumes dataset and will exponentially increase the combinations of political career data we are able to examine.

Data Access and Sharing Policy
Datasets used in published research articles are typically uploaded to Harvard Dataverse or other public data repositories. Links to these datasets may be found in post of each published article.
The Taiwan Politics Integrated Database and associated curated datasets are not currently available for public download. The Organization of Power Lab is cleaning, validating, and curating these data before making them publicly available.
Not all content and links may be current as we are simultaneously building our databases, conducting research, and maintaining this website. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
In the meantime, we welcome inquiries from researchers interested in collaboration, data access, or related projects. Please contact Dr. Jacob Reidhead at seouljake@gmail.com to inquire.
